Mayor Seaton presided and upon call of the Roll the following anowerod to their names:
Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, ailliams and Sayor Seaton (5).

Commissioner Johnston offered motion tnat the Financial Report of the Paducah
'inter forks for the month of July 1947, be received and filed. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, 'Williams and Mayor 3oaton
Commissioner Friedlander offered motion that the City !•anager be directed to
make an investigation as to the necessity of Installing street lights at the inter-
section of Blaess Street and Starke Street and also at the intersection of Schneidman
Road and Hill Street.
If upon investigation it is found that these street lights are needed, I
further move that the City Manager be requested to have same installed. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, 1111111ams and
?'syor Seaton (5).
L'ayor Seaton offered motion that the following reports for the month of August
1947, be received: Police Department, Oak Grove Cemetery, Dr. :7.J.Bass, City
Physician. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston,
Sims, .7illiams and Mayor Seaton (5).
Commissioner Friedlander offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive
and file the letter written by ;Sr. Victor C. Hobday the City 7.ianager concerning the
necessity of installing plumbing and toilet facilities in the City Market, In which
he recommends that the sum of 4-5500.00 be included in the apportionment ordinance of
1948 for the purpose of making the necessary installations. Adopted on call of the
roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, :7illiams and Mayor Seaton (5).

."ayor Seaton offered the folloain�-, motion: An application having been made by
The Florida Blossom Shows for a permit to conduct u tent show at the corner of Loth
and Brosduray on the nicht of September 8th, 1947, and the said Florida Blossom Showa
havinf sutmitted &TJ application stating the character of the entertainment to to
riven and the price of admission to the same as required by ordinance, and it appear!
that said entertainment will not be a nuisance or in anyway hurtful to the public nor
I therefore move that said permit be issued upon the payment of the license foe
as required under the ordinance fixing licenses for conducting occupations, trades
