At a Regular 1:eeting of the ';card of Commissioners held in the Commissioners'
Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.N. on January 7, 1947,

Yinutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.

Contract^ viith Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive

Sower Projects!' and file the executed contracts entered into between the City of Paducah and Elack &
Veatch, Consulting Engineers of Kansan City, Missouri, dated January 3, 1947, pro-
viding for the employment of Black & Veatch to prepare plans and specifications for
newer construction work under projects identified as follows:
"Docket Ky-15-P-141 Sewer facilities
Docket Ky-15-P-142 Storm relief sewers".

I further move that the Board of Commissioners also receive and file the letter
of E. B. Black and N. T. Veatch, dated December 20, 1946, ratifying E. L. Philby's
action in executing each of the above contracts as agent for them. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, Williams and Mayor
Seaton (5).
