Lot -Lease
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commissioners'
Chamber at the City Ball, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on December 12, 194¢,
Itayor Seaton presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their named,
Commissioners Johnston, Pierce, Fulliam, 111agner and mayor Seaton (5). j
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Commissioner Pierce offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
plan of the City Zranager to lease from Nat Dortch for a period of one year a certain)
lot or parcel of land located fronting 50 feet on the North side of Washingtonand
runninZ back a uniform width 160 feet, said lot being 180 feet from the Northwest
corner of the intersection of 10th & 1Iashington Streets, said lot to be leased in I
consideration of a rental payment of $1.00 and to contain a provision under which the'
city may purchase the same for the sug of 0300.00 after the expiration of said lease,
or that the L'anager be authorized to trade to Ilat Dortch the 50 foot lot on the :'lest
side of his property if the city should become the purchaser of said lot when it is spld at
the Easter Commissioner's sale for satisfaction of taxes; and that the Net Dortch lot)
abd a 20 foot strip of ground adjoining said lot on the East side be used for the
establishment of a home for old people of the colored race. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Pierce, Pulliam, 1,7agner and Mayor Seaton (5).

25. 0 JCC'3 , Mayor Seaton offered motion that the City of Paducah donate the sum of $25.00

Program u for a full page Ad in the JCC's Basket -Ball Tournament Program, proceeds of which go
to Paducah's Living War Yemorial, and that the amount so donated be charged to the
Contingent Fund. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Pierce,
