At a Celled ideating of the board of Commissioners held in the Commisslonors,
Chamber ut the City Hall, Paducah, Kentudky, at 8:30 o'clock A.M- on October 16, 1944;
Payor -'cut,-,n presided and upon call of the !,oll the following answered to their names
Commissioners Johnston, "icrce, Pulliam, °,lamer and e.;ayor :.Caton:
",estin, vms called for the purpose of considering the payment of salary
and hos:;ital expense of Jamea Clay, a policeman injured in lino of duty.
Commission -or pierce offered the following motion: I move that the City I'anaget
be authorized to continue the payment of the regular salary of James Clay for a
furhher period of three months beginning November 1st, 1944, provided it is not
necessary to employ another policeman to work in his place during said period, end
that the Manager be also authorized to pay all of his hospital expense incurred to
date, together with such additional hospital e:!ponse he will incur at Cumpbell'a
Clinic, I:emphis, Tennessee, and that the funds expended for hospitalization be
charged to the Congingent Fund. Adopted on call of the 4�oll, Yeas, Commissioners
Johnston, Pierce, Pulliam, aagner and Mayor Seaton (5).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
