At a Called Lloo ting of the Board of Commiasioners held In the
Coemmiasloners' Chamber at the City Ha11, Paducah, Kentucky, on Decomber 31st, 1943,
vayor Protem Dorian presided in the absence of Mayor Lackey, and upon call of the
Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Johnston, Pulliam,
Wagner and Mayor Frotem Dorian (4).
hmyor Protem Dorian stated the meeting was called for the purpose of
appointing certain members of the Hospital Board whose torma had expired, and such
other business as may properly come before the board.
Deed to Commissioner Johnston offered the following motion: I move that an

L:ayor Proterp Dorian made the following appointment:
APPOINTMEIIT
R. E. Fairhurst Sam Livingston, C{. L. Burnett and E. J.Paxton, Sr., having been appointed on
Golf ,
Cormission :arch 26th, 1940 to serve as members of the City Recreational Commission, Sam
Livingston to servo for a period of trio years, Cl.L. Burnett for four years and
E. J. Paxton, Sr., for six years; and,
R. E. Fairhurst having been appointed as a member to serve in the place and stead
of Sam Livingston on ?..arch 24th, 1942, and his tern of office having expired. -
Subject to the approval of the Board, I hereby reappoint R.E.Fairhurst to
serve as a member of said Commission for a term of six years, effective as of I -larch
26th, 1942, so that said board as now constituted will consist- of the following

Commissioner Pulliam offered the following motion: I move that the action of
the Mayor reappointing R.E.Fairhurst to serve as a member of the City Recreational
Commission for a term of 6 years effective as of March 26th, 1942, so that said
board as now constituted will consist of the following members:-
'N.L.Burnott whose term expires March 26, 1944
E.J.Paxton, Sr., whose term expires March 26th, 1946
R.E.Fairhurst whose term expires March 2Gth, 1948,1
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and
Mayor Protem Dorian (4).
Mayor Protem Dorian offered motion that this called meeting of the board of
Commissioners be adjourned until 4:00 oyelock P.M. December 31st, 1943. Adopted on
