Proceedings of hoard of Commissioners City of Paducah November 94th. x949 _
At a Regular Mooting of the Board of Commisaioners, hold in the
Commissioners' Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o1clock P.G1, on
Novomber 24th, 1942, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the Roll the following
answered to their names: Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Warner and Mayor
Lackoy (5).
Minutes of the previous mooting were adopted as road.
St. Dept. Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the report of the Street

Oct. 1942 Department for the month of October 1942, be received. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, 101agner and Mayor Lackey (5).
Thanks- Commissioner Wagner offered motion.that the City Employees be allowed
giving V/
Day a full day holiday November 26th, 1942, with the exception of the police and fire
Holiday
department personnel. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dorian,
Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and 14ayor Lackey (5).
Gas & Oil / 1Sayor Lackey offered motion that the Corporation Counsel be directed

to prepare for introduction at the next regular meeting of the Board an ordinance
authorizing the execution of contracts for the purchase of Gasoline and Oil, such
ordinance to provide for the execution of contracts with the company or companies
who have, in the opinion of the City Cianager, submitted the lowest and beat bids.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yean, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam. Wagner
and Mayor Lackey (5).
Mayor Lackey offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and
H,Garrett file the letter of Horace Garrett in which he offers to dedicate to the City of

right-of-way parallel with and constituting an extension of Paxton Street, from Mow �
