At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Cor._miasloners I Chamber at the City Ball, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on
`Iovember 17th, 1942, Mayor Protem Dorian presided In the absence of Mayor Lackey, and
upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Coruaiasionors Johnston,
Pullinn, Wagner and Mayor Frotem Dorian (4).

Payroll first d Commissioner Wagner offered motion that the payroll for the first half of
hs18 of
November '42 ;Iovambcr, 19•12 to allowed in the amount of '8908.46, and that the City Treasurer be
authorized to pay the same by checks drawn on the General Fund. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Mayor Protem Dorian (4).
ExonOrationo Commissioner Pulliam offered the following motion: I move that exonerations
Mos. 8015 - 8401, (8059 - 8401 being sold for taxes) inclusive be received and filed;
and that the amount of '2,429.54 be exonerated on the tax bills as shown on said oxen -

,meter extension Mayor Protem Dorian offered the following motion: I move that the
G.H.Goodman
petition of George H. Goodman for betitionor to lay and construct a 1.3 Inch water line
at his own cost and expenso from a point designated in said petition of the Edwin
J. Paxton Municipal Goll Course, abutting petitioner's promises, to and for the
.purpose of supplying water service to two buildings located on said promises and for
domestic purposes. -
I move that the approval of said petition and the granting of said request
?contained in said petition be Fronted conditioned upon the filing with the Treasurer
of the Commissioners of Water Works of the City of Paducah, of a written permission
from the War Production Board for the purchase of the materials nocessa•ry to lay
:and construct said pipe line.
I Bove that the Commissioners of hater 7lorka be authorized and ompowored
to furnish water service, as requested in said petition upon the completion of said
pipe line, and nothing in the granting of this request shall obligate the City of
(Paducah or its Commissioners of Vater Works to buy or maintain said pipe line, or
,,any part thereof; and this request is granted and the water service shall be furnished
..in all respects in accordance with the rules and regulations, subject to the rates
now or hereafter prescribed or put in effect by the City of Paducah or its Commissioner
of Water Plorks. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston,
Pulliam, :Magner and mayor Pro tem Dorian (4).
Gas & 011 Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive

and filed and file the bids of Mid -Continent 011 Company, :Meat Kentucky Motor Company, Shoji
011 Company, Illinois 011 Company and Standard 011 Company for the sale to the City

lof Paducah of gas and oil to February 11th, 1943, and that the City Managor be
(requested to submit to the board at its next regular meeting his report as to which
