HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 20, Page 634, November 3, 1942Proceedings of Board of Com�isaloners City of q+nducoh November 3rd,_ 1942 __�______, At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the cc.-missioners' Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on November 3rd, 1942, Mayor Protem Dorian presided in the absence of Mayor Lackey, and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Comminsionora Johnston, Pulliam, Magner and Mayor Protem Dorian (4). Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as road. Cemetery Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the following reports for the Fire Dept. City Phys. month of October 1942, be received: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fire Department, Dr. W.J.Bans,! Oct. 1942 � reports and Pr. S.L.Polk. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yens, Commissioners Johnston, Pulliam!, ;agner and Mayor Protem Dorian (4). Cemetery lot ✓ Commissioner Johnston offered motion that deed granted to Squire & Author to Squire & Arthur Boone Boone for Lot No. 571 in Section 10A on Weil Avenue in Oak Grove Cemetery, Paducah, Kentucky, upon proper payment of $75.00 to the City Treasurer, be approved. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Fullia>p, Wagner and Mayor Protom Dorian (4). Purch¢se ✓ Mayor Protem Dorian offered motion that the sum of $50.00 be appropriated stove _^or Littlesville for a heating stove needed at the city wide Recreational Center in Littleaville which Recreational center is sponsored by the City and ttie WPA, and that Mrs. Maide Murray supervise the purchasing of the stove. The amount appropriated for this purpose shall be charged against the Contingent Fund. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yens, Commissioners Johnston, Pulliam, Dagner and Mayor Protem Dorian (4). `:oto of J Commissioner Pulliam offered motion that the Board -of Commissioners gratitude from Fannan acknowledge receipt of and file the note of Mrs. Ed Hannan and family expressing family their gratitude for the tribute paid to Mr. Ed Hannan under a resolution adopted by the board off October 13th. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Mayor Protem Dorian (4). Payroll ✓ Commissioner Wagner offered motion that the Payroll for the last half of ,.at half October 142 October, 1942 be allowed in the amount of «8968.72, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay the same by checks drawn on the General Fund.
