At a ReCular Rioeting of the Eoard of Commissioner& held in the
Commissioners' Chamber at the City Hall In Paducah, Kentucky, on May 26th, 19.12,
at 7:30 o 'clock P.M. Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the Roll the following
answered to their names: Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, VlaCtior and
-ayor Lackey (5).
Minutes of the previous meetlnp were adopted as read.
Commissioner Dorian offered the following motion: Decoration Day,
Yay 30th, 1942, bein,,7 a stational Holiday, I move that the city employees be allowed
a full day holiday with the exception of the police and fire department personnel.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dm.ian, Johnston, Pulliam, 7:arner
and Mayor Lackey (5).
Cemetery Deed( Commissioner Wagner offered motion that deed granted to tdrs. Mamye
to Mrs. Mamye
Cotner Botner for the Southeast corner of Lot No. 104 in Block No. 7, on I::yrtle Street in
Oak Grove Cemetery, Paducah, Kentucky, upon proper paygient of 'd25.00 to the City
Treasuror be approved. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dorian,
N Johnston, Pulliam, V..agner and Idayor Ladkey (5).
Bonds -Officers mayor Lackdy offered the following motion: It appearing that under

oyees ' motions adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 9th, 1941 and January 20th
1942, The United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company, Surety on certain bonds
executed by police officers and other officials and employees, visa released from
liability as of the date of the expiration of the bonds which the said United
States Fidelity and Guaranty Company signed as Surety, and that under said motion
the Aetna Casualty Company was accepted as surety in lieu of the United Stated
Fidelity and Guaranty Company; and,
It further appearing that the name of the new surety under the
bonds of the officers named in said motion was incorrectly stated, the Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company having signed their bonds upon the expiration of those which
the United States iidellty and Guaranty Company has executed as Surety.
I therefore move that the action taken by the Eoard under motions
passed on December 9th, 1.941 and January 20th, 1942 be revoked. Adopted

And it further appearing that the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company
I-, liable under bonds executed by it as surety for each of the above named police
officers and other officers and employees of the City of Paducah from and after the
.crmiration dates set out above.
I move that the City Clark be authorized to execute on the margin
sof each o; the aforesaid bonds on which the United states Fidelity and Guaranty Company
his surety the following endorsement:

"Pursuant to a motion adopted by the Poard of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky
at a regular meeting held on May 26th, 1942, the
SII United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company,
surety on the within bond, is hereby fully
released from all liability arisine under the
within bond from and after
the date on which the Aetna Casualty and Surety
Company executed a bond as surety for the officer
of official named herein, but this release shall
not affect its liability as surety prior to said
date".
