Johnston, Pulliam, 'Magner and t;ayor lac::ey (5). hinutca of the previous meetings were adopted as read. Commissioner Dorian offered motion that the lot,er of S. E. Mitchell, elpal 3ousLng Sr., Executive Director ad the City of Paducah municipal Housing Commission, dated request Cecember 29th, 1941 be received and filed, and that the members of the Board of salary Commissioners give their consideration to the request that the housing ordinance be amended to provide, that the members of the housing commission be paid by the city the I sura of $5.00 for each meeting attended, and the Chairman receive $10.00 for each �Imeeting. Counsel to prepare ord. Commissioner Wagner offered motion that the letter of the Paducah Woman's Club requesting an inercasod appropriation in the sum of w3000.00 in the- year 1942 for tho purchase of new books for the CarneGle Library be referred to the City Manager, and that he Cive his consideration to the request when preparing the budget which he will submit to the Board of Commissioners for approval. Commissioner Wagner offered motion that the payroll for the first (half of January, 1942 be allowed in the amount of $9,779.67, and that the City Treasure. i be authorized to pay same by check drawn on the General Fund. Tdayor Lackey offered motion that the letter of the Municipal dousing {Commission addressed to Pierce E. Lackey, Mayor, dated January 12, 1942, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Comgigsioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, 7lagner and Mayor Lackey (5). Commissioner Dorian offered motion that the momberc of the Board of �Commissioners express to Mayor Lackey and Ns. C. A.
