At a regular meeting of the Board of Corminsloners hold In the Commissioners Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, nt 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the 13th day of January, 1942, Commissioner Dorian presided as Mayor pro Lem in the absm ce of Mayor Lackey and upon call of the roll 'the followinf, answered to their numes: iCommissioners Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Mayor pro tem Dorian (4). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. '1 General Contract Purchase Mayor pro Lem Dorian offered the following motion: Corroration license fee refi.nded The General Contract Purchase Corporation, through its representative, J. Paul Thomas, having applied to the Boardol Commissioners for remission of the license tax paid by him on January 2nd, 1942, for the privilege of engaging in the finance business during the year 1942, and said Corporation having since been required to suspend its business fl in Paducah by reason of the action taken by the United States Government limiting the k sales of automobiles, a condition over which said company had no control; I therefore move that a sum equal to eleven -twelfths of the license tax paid by said Company be remitted to it, and that its license to engage in i. business in Paducah during the year 1942 be cancelled. l Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner, and Mayor i pro tem Dorian (4). Berry's bid on lot at 1200 S. 7th Street Berry addressed to Miss Mary Dorian in which the City of Paducah is offered ;500.00 for a lot in the 1200 block on South 7th Street be received and filed and that the it City Manager be requested to report to this board his reco :nendationa as to whether or not the offer should be accepted. J Paducah Airport - Supple- Mayor pro tem Dorian offered motion that the signed copy of the rentory Certificate of Title Supplementary Certificate of the Corporation Counsel under which he certifies that the r. City of Paducah and the County of McCracken, State of Kentucky, are seized of the fee simple title to the three additional tracts of land to be used for the development of the new airport, being in all respects the same lands conveyed by the Paducah Air- d port Corporation to the City and County by deed dated January 7th, 1942, be received rnd filed. Ray 'ililkins, '.Pence ` property at Chief of the "vire Department, datod January 12th, 1942, be received and filed, and that 7th & Fnrk condemned tile City of Paducah approve the action taken by the State Piro Marshall for condemnat- ion of property located at 7th & Park Avenue ovined by Mr. F. K. Pence, and he is .requested to cause the conditions on said premises to be romedied in such manner as Trill, in his opinion, insure the safety of all proporty in that vicinity against fire.
