8th day of April, 1941, Commissioner Pulliam presided as Mayor pro tem In the absence

A STREET FLUSHER AND INTERNATIONAL CAB OVER ENGINE K -E MOTOR TRUCK FULLY EQUIPPED, AND
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE SUM NOT EXCEEDING $1,700.00, THE SAME TO BE
CHARGED AS A PART OF THE CURRENT DEPARTMENTAL EXPENSE IN THE YEAR 1941 FOR THE LEASING
OF SAID FLUSHER AND EQUIPMENT DURING THE REMAINDER OF SAID YEAR, PROVIDING OPTIONS FOR
THE RENEWAL OF SAID LEASE ON JANUARY 1, 1942 AND JANUARY 1, 1943; PRESCRIBING THE

for the sale to the City of One (1) 73 two -wheel, end discharging concrete mixer with
power loader, automatic vertical water tank mounted on two pheumatic-tired wheels,
equipped with Timken roller bearings, with 4 cylinder 12 A.P. radiator cooled engine,
Bosch magneto, oil bath cleaner, postive locking Batchometer and Counter, and that the
City also receive and file the letter of T. A. Bradley, City Engineer, dated April 3,
1941 in which he recommends the acceptance of the bid submitted by the Patter Supply �
Company.
I further move that the City of Paducah accept the offer of the
Patter Supply Company in the total sum of $1,034.50 for the purchase of the concrete
mixer and equipment as described above, and that the purchase price be paid in cash
out of the Special Street Paving Funds, such payment to be made upon the acceptance by
the City of said concrete mixer and equipment, and the full rompllonco by the Pettcr
Supply Co-pany with any and all terms, conditions and specifications required by the j

Fire Limits to be Y, Commissioner Pulliam offered motion that the letter of R. Ray
extended
'Wilkins, Chiefof the Fire Department dated April 8, 1941, recommending the extension
of the fire limits be received and filed, and that the Corporation Counsel be directed
to prepare an ordinance under which the present fire limits shall be extended from the
North alley line of Jefferson Street from 7th St to 9th St., and from there following
a line designated as the center line of 9th Street .;outh to the South alley line or
property line of %y. Ave. to 7th Street, and that said ordinance be presented for
consideration at the next regular meeting of this Board.

Fines Road Roy 14. Shelbourne having petitioned the Mayor and Board of Commissioners and the Com-
missioners of dater Works for the privilege of connecting a private water line,
described as being a two-inch pipe line, to the existing main at the intorsection of
36th Street and Pines Road southwardly a distance of 764 feet and thence a one and one-
half inch pipe extending westwardly to the residence or building on the petitioner's
property abutting said Pines Road a total distance from the connection at the cgain of
approximately 1768 feet for the purpose of providing water service for the residence
and domestic purposes of petitioner; and it appearing that said petition has been
approved as to form by the Commissioners of :'later Works; and it further appearing that
petitioner has paid to the Commissionors of Plater Works the estimated cost of making
the connection at the main.
I, 'BIERFFORE, MOVE that said petition be received and filed
and that the Commissioners of :'later 'Worsts be authorized and permitted to grant the
authority to said petitioner and to allow said connection made and said flips line
constructed; and that the Commissioners of 'Water Plorks be authortzed to furnish water
service subject to all the conditions and limitations set forth in said petition and
applicable to water service furnished to persons residing outside the City Limits,`
The City shall not be obligated to furnish water at any specified pressure.
Nothing contained in thin order, nor in the granting of the
request sought in said peti•.Son shill be construed as an obligation on the part of the
City of Paducah, or its Commisslonera of Water 'Works to purchase said privately owned
