At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commisaioners
Chamber at the City hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 1:00 o'clock P.I1., on the Int day of
November, 1940, !,ayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following
answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dprian, Pulliam and Mayor
Lackey (5).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of' alloying
the payroll for the last one-half of October, 1940, and to transact any other business
"that may come before the meeting.

Commissioncr Baker offered motion that the payroll for the last half of

} Oct.1940 ,October, 1940 be alloyed in the amount of $9917.41, and that the City Treasurer be
authorized to pay same by checks drawn on the General Fund. Adopted on call of the

Mayor Lackey offered motion that the American Legion Post #31, Paducah,
:. L'.ntucky, be exempt from paying city license for retail of beer and soft drinks on
