Proceedings of Board of Commissioners C71y cf Paducah September 10, 1940
At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioner heli in'the
�Commisslonersv Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., on
the 10th day of September, 1940, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the
following answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Blackburn, Dorian,Pulliam
and Mayor Lackey (5).
VMinutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Street light authorized Commissioner Baker offered motion that the petition signed by the
at Sowell & Thurman Sts.
Rev, T. J. Whitby, at al., requesting the installat'lon of a street light at the corner
1of Thurman and Sowell Streets be received and filed, and that the City Manager be
!instructed to have a new light installed as requested in said petition.

King - deed to lot in Oak 'presented to the Board of Commissioners a dead of conveyance executed and delivered to
Grove Cemetery ii
,,him by Thomas I. Barry dated September 6th, 1940, under the terms of which there is
jiconveyed to him all of the Grantor's right, title and interest in that part of Lot No.
555, Section 38 in Onk Grove Cemetery in Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, having
a frontage of 9 feet on the East aide of Cypress Street, and extending back a uniform
width of 20 feet, as the same appears of record in Oak Grove Cemetery Register; I move
that the conveyance of the aforesaid cemetery lot to C. C. King be approved, and that
the City Clark be authorized to make the proper transfer in the Cemetery Register
showing the conveyance of said lot. Adopted on call of the roll: Yca:;
