At a ro6ular meetir4, of the board of Commissioners hold in the Conardsaloners
Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 3:10 o'clock P.W. on the 16th day of
October, 1939, Mayor ••aahburn presided and upon call of the roll the following
'answered to their names: Commissionora Hank, 14elton, Pulliam, itubilefield and
„Mayor Washburn (5).

Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Payroll First I Oct.139 Commissioner hank offered motion that the payroll for the first half of
October, 1939, be allowed in the amount of $8,970.71 and that the City Treasurer be
authorized to pay same by checks drawn on the General bund. Adopted on call of the
roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hank, Melton, Pulliam, -Stubblefield and Mayor Waahburn (5).
Commissioner Melton offered the following motion: The property owners on
39th Street having submitted to the Board of Commissioners their petition dated October �++I
Water main extended on 4th, 1939, requesting the Paducah Water Works Company to extend its 6" water main and I
39th street -
provide all necessary water connections along 39th street from Central Avenue to a point
400 feet South of Central Avenue on the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and the Commissionei•sl
of Water Works having recommended that such request be granted:
I now move that said petition be received and filed, and that the Paducah
anter ti';orka extend its 6" water main and provide all necessary water connections along '
39th Street from Central Avenue to a point 400 feet south of Central Avenue in the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, said extensions to be made on the condition that the ounero of
said property take, use and pay for water at the fixed rate for a term of not less than
two (2) years, commencing within thirty (30) days after such pipe extension is completed

Gsad service connection made, and subject also to all of the other terms and vond!t!ons
;yrs set forth in said petition; and further that the City of Paducah agree and bind itsa
to pay the hydrant rental provided in the franchise of -said Stater 2orks and to pay the
water main rental as also provided in said franchise, said payments to commence when the
aforesaid water main has been laid and the water has been turned into the acme.
