Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah March 6, 1939 ! _
At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the
Commissioners' Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:15 o'clock P.Ef., on th,
6th day of iiarch, 1939, ),ayor 71ashburn presided and upon call of the roll the following
'ansrered to their names: Commissioners Hank, Melton, Pulliam, Stubblefield and
:'nyor Washburn (5).
17inutes of the previous meetings w ere adopted as read.
J Commissioner Stubblefield offered the following motion: J. G.
Duplicate
Deed to J. Holder having presented to the Board of Commissioners his affidavit stating that on

lot in Oak the 8th of October, 1928, for Sixty-five ($65.00) Dollars cash paid by him to the City
Grove
of Paducah, the City, by its proper authorities, executed and delivered to him its
deed to the west half of cemetery Lot No.16 in Section No.14 in Oak Grove Cemetery in
said City and that he has never transferred or conveyed away any part of said lot, but
that during the flood in January and February of 1937 his deed, with other papers
belonging to him, were washed away and destroyed and he, therefore, desires that the
.City execute and deliver to him a dufolicate of said deed; and it appearing from the
Cemetery Records that said J. G. Holder is the owner of said burial lot,-
NOY1, THIREFORE, I move that the affidavit of the said J. G. Bolder
be received and filed and that the City execute, by its proper authority, a duplicate
deed to the said J. G. Holder to the West half of Lot No.16, in Section 14 in Oak
Grove Cemetery, to take the place of said deed so dated October 8, 19280 but that the
City shall assume no liability whatsoever because of the execution and delivery of said
duplicate deed. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Hank, Melton,
Pulliam, Stubblefield and Mayor F/ashburn (5).
On motion meeting adjourned.
