Cortaission, without exceptions, ninety-five per
cent of its preliminary work has been completed.
"The attempted illegal dismissal of the
writer by Mayor *agar T. ''.:ashburn, is due to the
fact that to followed the policy established by
the Housin Commission, rather than the orders
of the mayor.
"Realizing that further continuance in
office would be very distasteful, I hereby tender
my resi,nation and at the same time thank you for
the faith and confidence you have had in me.
