wherein said commission was appointed to act as agent of the City of Paducah in

Mayor Seaton offered motion that the Board of Commissioners ratifyand

confirm the settlement of the claims1of Martha Jane Hunt and her husband, Willie
L. Hunt
L. Hunt, in the sum of $400 on account of injuries which the said Martha Jane
Hunt received when ahe fell into a manhole on July 23, 1946, while walking on
Bridge Street near the Island Creek Bridge, and that the release executed by the
said :Zartha Jane Hunt and her husband, Willie L, Hunt, be received and filed.

works, wherein said Conesissloners have recommended to the mayor and the Board o£

Proceedings of Board of COU :issioners
of Paducah November 12, 1946
22 Cctober 1946, said insurance policies, certificates of insurance and letters
being as follows:
(1� Liability Policy issued to Paul L. Lindsey and C. T. Edwards by the Keystone
LIutual Casualty Company, providing coverage for one year from October 16, 1946 g
(2) Certificate of Insurance showing the issuance of a public liability policy to
Clete Youngblood, providing coverage for one year beginning November 28, 1946.
(3) Certificate of insurance, showing the issuance to Hester Andrews of a public
liability policy by the Lumbermen's Mutual Casualty Company for one year,
Adopted on call of the roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander,
beginning bray 313 1946. Johnston, Sims, Williams, and Mayor Seaton (5)
Commissioner Williams offered motion that the City of Paducah file with
the Civil Aeronautics Board a petition for leave to intervene in the proceeding
Cum e+ ✓ pending before said board wherein the Chicago and Southern Air Lines is applying
for certificates of convenience and necessity for the establishment of air routes
between Chicago and Evansville and other routes described in its petition.
Adopted'on call of the roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims,
Williams, and L;ayor Seaton (5).
Mayor Seaton offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and
file the copy of a motion adopted by the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission
w, on October 31, 1946, wherein said commission requests the City d Paducah to make
application to the War Assets Administration for removal of the buildings from the
Kentucky Ordinance Works to the City of Paducah for use in providing housing for
veterans, that the request of the City of Paducah Lhunicipal Housing Comu:ission be
Eranted, and that an applicant be inu::ediately submitted to the Governmental agency
;.&vine charge of the buildings at the Kentucky Ordnance Works. Adopted on call
of the roll, Yeas, Conm:issioners Friedlander, Johnston, Si s, Williams, and Mayor
Seaton (5).
Commissioner Friedlander offered motion that the petition of Jake Jenkins
and others in which they request the City of Paducah to open a road between Thirty -
Second Street and lark Avenue be received, filed, and referred to the City Manager.
