Minutes of the previous moetin,^ were adopted as read. Installations'' Commissioner Sims offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive of St. ii�ht j at 17th and and file the letter of Vr. Chas. A. Williams, City Manager, in which he recommends "oar oe refused that the city decline to install at this time a street light in the 1700 block on 1.%onroe Street. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, h Johnston, Sims, and b'ayor Seaton (4). Gaa contract�l Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the Contract entered into Shell Oil Co.B between the City of Paducah and the Shell Oil Company, dated May 1st, 1946, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims and b!ayor Seaton (4). Holiday / Commissioner Johnston offered motion that Decoration Day, May 30, 1946, May 30th. Lein^ a legal holiday, I move that all city employees with the exception of the Police and Fire Department personnel be allowed a holiday.
