At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners,
Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 10 A.M. on the 25th day of
Septembor, 1936, :Mayor Washburn presided and upon tail of the roll the following
.answered to their names: Commissioners Lockwood, Melton, Pulliam and Mayor
Washburn (4).
wayor Wahhburn stated reason for call, to -wit: To hear charges
preferred against Myrtle Griffin, 8th and Ellis streets, known as "Rusty Nut",
to show cause why her license should not be revoked, and to transact any other
business that may come before the meet ng.
Rusty Nut Inn
Mayor Washburn offered the following motion: I move that the notice
license revoked
for hearing upon the charges against Myrtle Griffin, doing business under the name
of "Rusty Nut Inn", be received and filed; and the Board of Commissioners having
had under consideration said charges and heard evidence thereon, - I move that
said charges be sustained, and that the licenses of the said Myrtle Griffin to
sell beer and light wines be revoked effective as of this date. hdopted on
call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Melton, Pulliam and 'Mayor Washburn (3). Nays;
Commissioner Lockwood W.
Mayor Washburn offered the following motion: Lena L. Miller, C. H. Lowry,

Robert Kruetzer, Carl Wilkerson and G. C. Hargrove, having petitioned the city for
street
an extension of water main along Norton street from 24th street to 23rd street,
and it appearing from said petition that said petitioners agree in writing and
bind themselves to pay for water at a price equivalent to three consumers for each
'i
three hundred (BOOT) feet of such water main for the period of two (2) years, I
:now move that the Commissioners of Water Works be authorized, empotrered and in-
structed to extend said water main by the use of a 6 inch main on Norton street
from the end of the present main, approximately 4501. And the City of Paducah
agrees and binds itself by the adoption of this motion to pay the hydrant rental
,provided in the franchise of said water works and to pay tho water main rental
as also provided in said franchise; said payments to commence when said water
mains have been laid and the water has been turned into same. Adopted on call of
the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Lockwood, !Melton, Pulliam and Mayor Washburn (4).
