At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Co_xrissIcncrsv Chamber In the City Rall, Paducah, Kentucky at 3:00 ofelock P.M.
on the 26th day of '?arch, 1934, Mayor Scott presided and upon call. of the roll
the following answered to their names: Commissioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley
;';ashburn and :iayor Scott (5).
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as road.
Commissioner Baker offered motion that the Equitable Life Assurance
Society be refunded the amount of i 50.00, paid to the City of Paducah for
John S. Laurence, as their Agent, $ 25.00 for 193? and E. 25.00 for 1934,
as at that time :::r. Lawrence had a State Agents license ,#522, Issued on the
lst of February 1933, and ii195 issued January 19th, 1034, therefore the City
License should not have been paid by the Equitable Life Ar-rurance Society for
John S. Lawrence, their Agent, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to issue
check for same and charge to Tax and License Refunds. Adopted on call of the
Vroll: Yeas; Cor«nis..ioners Baker, Bradshaw, Ripley, Washburn and tfayor Scott (5).
C01mlliSs loner Baker offered motion that Leon Raper be exonerated fro.'.:
paying the v 1.50 poll tax included in his tax bill ;8282 for the year 1933,
for assessment of a vacant lot, as he has filed with the City a sworn affidavit
to the effect that he has not been a resident of Paducah since the year 1929, and
that the City Treasurer be authorized to refund the amount of $ 1.50, paid for
poll tax and charge same to Tax & License Refunds. Adonted on call of the roll:

On motion the meeting adjourned.
