A demand note
executed to
Citizens
Bank to be
repaid from
Franchise
taxes due
from
Payrolls for
last half of
November
allowed.
At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners'
Chamber in the City Ball, Paducah, Kenbxcky at 2;30 P.M. on the 19th day
of December, 1933, Mayor Scott presided and upon coil of the roll the
following answered to their names; Conuniasioners Block, Brndshan, Rieke
Washburn and Mayor Scott (5).
Mayor Scott stated reason for call to -reit: For the nurpose of
allowing the payroll for the last half of November, -1933.
Commissioner Rieke offered motion that the Nayor and Commiesioner of
Public Finance be authorized to execute &-4,
amid, note dnted December 19,
1933, for the City of Paducah to the Citizens Savings Bank for a loan of
^8000.00 to be repaid from collections when received from the Illinois Central
Railroad Company, in payment of Franchise Taxes due the City for the year 1933.
Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Rieke,
liashburn and 6layor Scott (5).
Commissioner Rieke offered motion that the payrolls for the last half
of November 1933, be allowed in the amount of b 8385.48, and that the
Commissioner of ublic Finance be authorized to pay same by checks for amount
of $4318.48, and to pay the remainder of S 4067.00, with Paducah Industries
Certificates. Adopted on call of the roll: Yeas: Commissioners Block,
Bradshaw, Rieke, Washburn and Mayor Scott (5).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
