whereas September 4th, 1933, was the regular meeting date of the
Board of Commissioners and it being also a National Holiday the regular meeting
which in the ordinary course of events would have been held on that date was
held in the Commissioners' Chamber in the City Nall Building in the City of
Paducah, Kentucky at 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 5th day of September, 1933, with
Mayor Scott presiding and upon call of the roll the following answered to their
names; Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott (4).
Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read.
Decisions Mayor Scott offered the following motion: whereas, the Board of

chnrges preferred against C. D. Gilliam, F. C. Carter, Henry Singery,
Andy Almy, Joe Green, J. til. Jackson, F. R. Lemon and rendered decisions
sustaining the charges ngainst each of the above names;
I move that the following action be taken by the Board with respect
to each to -wit:
That the said C. D. Gilliam, F. C. Carter, J. W. Jackson and
E. R. Lemon be dismissed from the service
And that said Joe Green be reprimanded by the Mayor and allowed
to return to duty.
And that said Henry Singery and Andy Almy be suspended for thirty
days and reinstated at the end of that time provided they qualify themselves
in the ability to operate motor vehicles used by the Police Department to
the satisfaction of the Chief of Police, W. E. Bryant. Adopted on call of
the roll: Yeas: Commissioners Block, Bradshaw, Rieke aryl Mayor Scott (4).
Bill for Commissioner Rieke offered motion that the bill of the Sun Democrat
advertising .
allowed Sun for a one (1) page ad run on the program for the Charity Swim Contest of
Democrat.
August 27th at Lakeview at a cost of v 8.00 be alloyed, same having been duly
approved for allaiance and payment, and that the Commissioner of Public Finance
be authorized to pay same and charge to the proper fund. Adopted on call
of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners block, Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott (4).

Commissioner Block offered motion that a deed be granted to
Mr. T. T. Thompson, for lot 8, in Block 50, upon payment of $30.00 to
Conmissioner of Public Finance. Adopted on call of the roll: Yens: Commissioners
Block, Bradshaw, Rieke and Mayor Scott (4).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
