At a call meeting of the Hoard of Commissioners held in the Commissionerst

Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at 10 o'clock
A.N., on the 4th day of June, 1930, Mnyor Lackey presided and upon call of the
roll the following answered to their names:. Commissioners Hannin, Rutter and
Mayor Lackey, (a).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call, to -wit: For the purpose of
allowing payrolls for last one-half of Nay, and such other business as may
come before the Board.
Comp.^issioncr Hannin offered the folla-ine motion: Upon the payment '

to Q e City of Paducah of C-100.00 by the Southern Bell Telephone & Telegraph
to place poles on
city property
Company, incorporated, I move that the City of Paducah grant unto said Company,
its successors and assigns, the right, privilege and authority to construct,
operate and maintain ten (10) noles Pod one (1) anchor over and across the
property of the City of Paducar lying westwardly from said city and being a part
of the propertc known as the Pest House property, Said poles to be. located upon
the north side of the Illinois Central Railroad tracks and approximately 15 feet
northwardly from the right-of-way of said railroad; all within the county of
McCracken and State of Kentucky, and said sum is to be received in full payment
for said right, and also for the right to permit the attachment of wires of
any other telephone or telegraph companies, but not in violation of law, and the
further right to trim and cut trees sral bushes along snid line so as to clear
and to keep the wires cleared at least fifty (50) feet, and the right to cut
all trees that in falling would reach the wires. The trees that may be cut
down and the branohes of any trees trimmed off shall be the property of the
City of Paducah. This motion shnll be effective upon the payment to the
City of Pa,?ucah of snid sum of ?'100.00, and an attested copy of this motion
showing its adoption wall be deemed a sufficient permit to authorize the
placing of said telephone poles and equipment thereon. Said permit and this
motion are made to conform to a blue print and drawing of the properties and
the location of the poles, Ind sPid drawing is to be attached to this motion
and filed therewith to be deemed a permanent record of the City of Paduenh.
