Proceedings of BOARD OF COMMISSIONURS City of Paducah MARCH Sth, 1928
At a regular meeting of the Boqrd of Commissioners hold in the
Comnigsionerol Ohamber in the City Hall Building, March 5th, 1928, at 2:00 O'clock
P.I.1., in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, Mayor Lackey prosidod, and upon the call of
the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hannin, Nelson, Rutter
and Mayor Lackey. (4). Commissioner Bradshaw was not present at the meeting.

Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Commissioner Nelson offered motion that the petition of tho various

:rith merchants requesting that Charles E. Smith, as Merchants' Policeman, be granted police

clrccman power be received and filed and that the said Charles E. Smith, an such Merchantal
Police, be granted police poiaer upon the execution of bond and taking oath as required'
by Ordinance, and to servo at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners without cost
to the City df Paducah. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Rannin,
Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey. (4).
Commissioner Nelson offered motion to receive and file report of the
Report of
Chief of Chief of Police for the month of Fobruary, 1928. Adopted on the call of the roll:

Commissioner Nelson offered motion to receive and file report of the
Report of
City Jail- City Jailer for the month of February, 1928. Adopted on the call of the roll:

Commissioner Belson offered motion as follows: An Ordinance entitled,

lie over in its completed fora heretofore and having been on file for more than one
week for public inspection in its completed form, I now move that said ordinance be
adopted to go into effect ton days after its passage. Adopted on the call of the roll:
Yeas; Cowmissionaro Hannln, Nelson and Rutter. (3). Mayor Luckey not voting.
On motion of Commissioner Rutter the Board adjourned until tomorrow,
March 6th, 1928, at Two O'clock. P.M..
