HomeMy WebLinkAbout2013-01-8009ORDINANCE NO. 2013-1-8009 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT FUNDS FOR A LITTER ABATEMENT GRANT FROM THE KENTUCKY DIVISION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a 2013 Kentucky Litter Abatement Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 1682 on August 14, 2012, for Engineering/Public Work's Street and Street Side Litter Abatement Programs; and WHEREAS, the Kentucky Division of Waste Management has approved the application and is now ready to award this grant. BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement and all documents necessary to obtain a 2013 Litter Abatement Award in the amount of $15,058.68 from the Kentucky Division of Waste Management to supplement the City's existing street and street side litter abatement program. This award requires no local cash or in-kind match. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. 4ayor ATTEST: Tammara S.
