AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2012-11-7990, ENTITLED, "AN
ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MCBRIDE MACK SALES, INC., FOR SALE TO THE
CITY OF ONE, NEW 2014 FRONT -LOADING REFUSE COLLECTION TRUCK FOR USE BY THE
SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SYSTEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME" TO PURCHASE A 2013 .FRONT -LOADING REFUSE TRUCK
WHEREAS, on November 20, 2012, Ordinance #2012-11-7990 was adopted authorizing
the purchase of a new 2014 front -loading refuse collection truck from McBride Mack Sales, Inc., in the
amount of $223,696.19; and
WHEREAS, due to an unforeseen shutdown of the chassis builder, the delivery of the
2014 truck would be delayed until the end of May 2013; and
WHEREAS, McBride Mack located one 2013 pre -built chassis in stock which would
ensure delivery of the refuse truck by the end of February; and
WHEREAS, in order to acquire the front -loading refuse collection truck in a timely
manner, it is requested that Ordinance #2012-11-7990 be amended to allow for the purchase of a new
2013 front -loading refuse collection truck in lieu of the 2014 refuse truck with the price remaining the
2013 price remaining the same as the 2014, $223,696.19.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby amends Ordinance No. 2012-11-7990, to
read as follows: "The City of Paducah accepts the bid of McBride Mack Sales, Inc., in the amount of
$223,696.19, for sale to the City of one, new 2414 2013 front -loading refuse collection truck, for use by
the Solid Waste Collection System, said bid being in substantial compliance with bid specifications, and
as contained in the bid of McBride Mack Sales, Inc., of October 23, 2012.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with McBride Mack
Sales, Inc. for the purchase of one, new 2414 2013 front -loading refuse collection truck, authorized in
Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid."

SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged to the Solid Waste Budget account, 050-
