ORDINANCE NO. 2004-9-6863
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
DEED AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE PURCHASE OF REAL
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5155 BUCKNER LANE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH
AND AUTHORIZE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR SAID PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed and all
documents necessary for the purchase of real property located at 5155 Buckner Lane in
the amount of $63,000.00 by the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to
transfer $68,000.00, ($5,000 — demolition and disposal of the existing structure) from the
Commission Contingency account to the ST0021 Fund.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to the Pecan Drive Right -
of -Way acquisition account.
SECTION 4. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends
the requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds
therefore, the City Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist due to the
purchase of this property by Commissioner Sale and the deteriorated condition of the
existing structure on this property, it is essential to finalize all documents promptly.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading
of this Ordinance.
