AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2019-6-8578,
ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1,
2019, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020, BY ESTIMATING REVENUES AND
RESOURCES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF CITY
GOVERNMENT."
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah entered into a preliminary development
agreement with Weyland Ventures to perform planning, design, and development tasks
associated with future development of the city -owned parcel located at South 2nd and
Broadway ("City Block"); and
WHEREAS, under this agreement with Weyland Ventures, the City
committed to performing geotechnical analysis and environmental review; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah is now ready to enter into an agreement
with HDR Engineering, Inc. for the geotechnical analysis and environmental review
services; and
WHEREAS, in order to enter into the agreement with HDR Engineering,
Inc., $72,000 must be moved from the FY20 Unreserved General Fund Fund Balance into
the City Block Project Account; and
WHEREAS, KRS prohibits expenses to exceed the budget in any
department and it is therefore necessary to amend the City's FY20 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the annual budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
2019, and ending June 30, 2020, as adopted by Ordinance No. 2019-6-8578, be amended
by the following re -appropriations:
• Transfer $72,000 from the FY20 Unreserved General Fund Fund
Balance to the City Block Project Account
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
