A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR A 2020
KENTUCKY LITTER ABATEMENT GRANT THROUGH THE KENTUCKY DIVISION OF
WASTE MANAGEMENT FOR THE ENGINEERING/PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
STREET LITTER ABATEMENT PROGRAM, ACCEPTING ALL AWARDED GRANT
FUNDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS
RELATED TO SAME
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an application for a
2020 Kentucky Litter Abatement Program grant through the Kentucky Division of Waste
Management for the Engineering/Public Works Department's Street Litter Abatement programs.
This grant amount will be based on a formula using the total number of street miles within the
City and number of applicants.
SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah hereby accepts all grant funds awarded
through Kentucky Division of Waste Management to be used by the Engineering/Public Works
Department for litter and trash pick-up along roadways and in parks. No local match is required.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its adoption.
