AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE
INTERIOR, U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH
TO PROMOTE THE SURVIVAL AND RECOVERY OF THE INDIANA BAT,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR MAKE PAYMENT TO THE INDIANA
BAT CONSERVATION FUND IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE OHIO RIVER BOAT
LAUNCH PROJECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah approves a Memorandum of
Agreement (MOA) between the United States Department of the Interior, U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service and the City of Paducah to promote the survival and recovery of the
Indiana Bat, and approves payment in the amount of $5,742.00 to the Indiana Bat
Conservation Fund in association with the Ohio River Boat Launch Project.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the MOA
referred to in Section 1 above. The MOA shall be deemed effective upon execution by
the Mayor and shall remain in effect until all terms of the agreement have been fulfilled.
SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed
to make payment to the Indiana Bat Conservation Fund in the amount of $5,742.00 from
account no. 040-3315-532-1207 (PF0039).
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
