AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FOR A KENTUCKY BODY ARMOR GRANT
U BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
Memorandum of Understanding with the Governor's Office for Local Development for a
Kentucky Body Armor Grant in the amount of $31,040.00 to purchase body armor for sworn
police officers. The City's required cash amount is $16,960.00.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the Kentucky GOLD Body
Armor Program Account — PO 0033.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
