Home My WebLink About2006-11-7212ORDINANCE NO. 2006-11-7212 AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE EXECUTION OF AN EXTENSION AND AMENDMENT AGREEMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN AMERICAN JUSTICE SCHOOL OF LAW, INC./THE UNIVERSITY FOR ADVANCED STUDIES/WORLDWIDE INSTITUTE FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION, THE GREATER PADUCAH ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND MCCRACKEN COUNTY WHEREAS, the City of Paducah adopted Ordinance No. 2005-1-6915, to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding between American Justice School of Law, Inc./The University of Advanced Studies/Worldwide Institute for Distance Education, the Greater Paducah Economic Development Council, the City of Paducah and McCracken County for purposes of defraying some of the costs of acquiring certain real property located in the Paducah Information Age Park, Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, and referred to as the Resource Center; and WHEREAS, on December 14, 2004, the Greater Paducah Economic Development Council and the American Justice School of Law, Inc./The University of Advanced Studies/Worldwide Institute for Distance Education entered into an Option to Purchase Agreement for the granting of an option to purchase the Resource Center; and WHEREAS, the parties involved mutually desire to extend the option term as set forth in the Option and to amend the lease provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: Section 1. The City Commission does hereby ratify and approve the Mayor's execution of an Extension and Amendment Agreement to the Memorandum of Understanding between American Justice School of Law, Inc./The University of Advanced Studies/Worldwide Institute for Distance Education, the Greater Paducah Economic Development Council, the City of Paducah and McCracken County dated November 30, 2004 and approved by Ordinance No. 2005-1-6915. Section 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be published by summary pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
