ORDINANCE NO. 2006-9-7176
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY INTENT TO ANNEX CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING
ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND
DEFI1\flNG ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE
INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, a tract of property adjacent to the present city limits, located
west of the Information Age Park, is urban in character and suitable for development for
urban purposes without unreasonable delay; and
WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of
the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property; and
WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another
incorporated city.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to annex
the hereinafter described property, and therefore that the hereinafter described property
be annexed to, and be made a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky said real property
being more particularly and accurately described as follows:
Being a parcel of land in Paducah, McCracken County Kentucky, 4360
Roy Lee Road, on the east side of the proposed Paducah Outer Loop
highway and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeast corner of the William T. Stewart, Jr.
et al, property as recorded in deed book 683 page 212 and deed book 778
page 419 as recorded in the McCracken County Courthouse, adjoining the
southeast corner of the Information Age Park as recorded in plat book K
page 705 said subdivision property line also being the existing City Limit
Line; thence from the point of beginning, along the Information Age Park
subdivision property line and the City Limit Line, North 79 degrees 25
minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 652.83 feet to a #4 rebar, a corner
to James Peyton as recorded in deed book 292 page 60; thence South 22
degrees 08 minutes 21 seconds West a distance of 20.00 feet to a point in
the south margin of a 20 foot right of way; thence along the 20 foot south
right of way, North 67 degrees 51 minutes 39 seconds West a distance of
504.20 feet to an iron pin set this survey; thence South 22 degrees 52
minutes 51 seconds West a distance of 586.74 feet to an iron pin set this
survey in the east proposed right of way of the proposed Paducah Outer
Loop highway; thence along the proposed right of way the following calls:
South 9 degrees 11 minutes 25 seconds East a distance of 376.95 feet to an
iron pin set this survey; thence South 2 degrees 31 minutes 42 seconds
West a distance of 598.17 feet to an iron pin set this survey; thence South
16 degrees 51 minutes 03 seconds East a distance of 142.86 feet to an iron
pin set this survey;
thence South 3 degrees 32 minutes 19 seconds West a distance of 575.35
feet to an iron pin set this survey; thence South 2 degrees 07 minutes 10
seconds West a distance of 487.52 feet to an iron pin set this survey;
thence South 1 degrees 29 minutes 57 seconds East a distance of 348.19
feet to an iron pin set this survey, a point in the north property line of
Gerald Russell as recorded in deed book 778 page 424;

thence along the Russell property, South 68 degrees 59 minutes 49
seconds East a distance of 138.48 feet to an existing iron pin marked PLS
#1955 and adjoining the Information Age Park as recorded in plat book K
pages 443 and 444, said subdivision property line being the existing City
Limit Line; thence along the west margin of the Information Age Park and
the City Limit Line, North 22 degrees 37 minutes 22 seconds East a
distance of 1,206.02 feet to a point in the west margin of the Information
Age Park: thence North 22 degrees 56 minutes 47 seconds East a distance
of 1,847.77 feet to the point of beginning containing 49.091 acres, more or
less.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
