HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-9-7169ORDINANCE NO. 2006-9-7169 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 WITH SOUTHERN BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE COMMISSION CHAMBER SOUND SYSTEM UPGRADE WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2006-3-7090 to enter into a contract with Southern Business Communications in the amount of $22,758.39, upgrade of the Commission Chamber sound system; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was required in the amount of $1,241.38, to make the sound system ADA compliant by installing assisted listening devices, increasing the total contract price to $23,999.77; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 is required for an increase in the amount of $2,510.88, for purchase of digital recording equipment and for overpayment due to exchange of an amplifier; in order to complete the project, increasing the total contract price to $26,510.65. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 2 for an increase in the amount of $2,510.88 for the City of Paducah's commission chamber sound system upgrade, increasing the total contract price to $26,510.65. SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged through Maintenance/Sound System account in Public Works. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. Mayor AT EST: Tammara S.
