ORDINANCE NO. 2007-2-7242
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH
PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED ZONE CHANGE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
409 AND 421 BLEICH ROAD, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS
TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution passed by the Paducah Planning Commission on January
8, 2007, and entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH
PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED ZONING CHANGE FROM R-2 TO B-1 FOR
PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 409 AND 429 BLEICH ROAD" be approved as the final report of said
Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification and the map amendment proposed in said
resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the
City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following described property be, and it
is hereby, changed from R-2 (Low & Medium Density Residential Zone) to B-1 (Convenience & Service
Zone):
DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY TO BE REZONED FROM R-2 TO B-1
BEING TWO SEPARATE PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED ON THE
NORTHERLY SIDE OF BLEICH ROAD IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY, AND KNOWN AS 409 AND 429 BLEICH
ROAD, SAID PARCELS BEING DESCRIBED AS ONE TRACT FOR THE PURPOSE
OF THIS APPLICATION FOR REZONING, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCTIBED
AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING WHERE THE EASTERLY LINE OF THE HEREIN
DESCRIBED PROPERTY INTERSECTS THE NORTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE
OF BLEICH ROAD (A.K.A. KENTUCKY HIGHWAY 3074), SAID EASTERLY LINE
AND POINT OF INTERSECTION BEING COMMON TO A TRACT OF LAND
PRESENTLY OWNED BY S.S.I. PROPERTIES AS INDICATED BY DEED OF
RECORD IN DEED BOOK 1011, PAGE 95 OF THE McCRACKEN COUNTY
COURT CLERK'S OFFICE, SAID POINT OF INTERSECTION BEING LOCATED
ABOUT 1,150 FEET, MORE OR LESS, WEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF
ELMDALE ROAD; THENCE PROCEED S. 87°-46'-00" W. ALONG THE
NORTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY OF SAID BLEICH ROAD 145.00 FEET; THENCE S.
820-37'-49" W., 55.66 FEET ALONG SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE; THENCE S. 87-
46'-00" W. CONTINUING WITH SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE, 114.56 FEET TO A
COMMON CORNER WITH THE AFORE -SAID S.S.I. PROPERTIES; THENCE
LEAVING SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE AND WITH SAID COMMON DIVISION
LINE, N. 020-06'-08" W., 277.26 FEET TO ANOTHER CORNER COMMON TO
SAID S.S.I. PROPERTIES; THENCE PROCEED N. 870-53'-52" E., 315.16 ALONG
AND WITH ANOTHER DIVISION LINE COMMON TO THE AFORESAID
PROPERTY; THENCE S. 020-06'-08" E., 271.54 FEET CONTINUING WITH
ANOTHER LINE COMMON TO THE AFORESAID PROPERTY TO THE POINT OF
BEGINNING.
THE AFORESAID PROPERTY COLLECTIVELY CONTAINS 86,403 SQUARE
FEET OR 1.983 ACRES.
BEARINGS CITED IN THIS DESCRIPTION ARE BASED ON A BEARING OF S.
870-53'-52" W. ALONG THE NORTHERLY LINE OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTIES
AS
INDICATED BY PLAT OF RECORD IN PLAT SECTION "L", PAGE 101 OF THE
McCRACKEN COUNTY COURT CLERK'S OFFICE.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found
to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section,

paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the
purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
