HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO #2197MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 2197 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DISTRIBUTE VACATION DAYS TO CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH AS PART OF THE ANNUAL EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON CHARITY FOOD COLLECTION WHEREAS, the City of Paducah hosted the 2018 Employee Christmas Luncheon on December 14, 2018; and WHEREAS, employees were encouraged to bring canned goods and non- perishable items to donate to the Paducah Public Schools Family Resource Centers for an opportunity to win a vacation day; and WHEREAS, City staff collected and donated more than 800 canned goods and non-perishable items that were donated to the Paducah Public Schools Family Resource Centers; and WHEREAS, ten city staff members who participated in the food collection, were selected at random to receive a vacation day; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners now wishes to authorize the City Manager to award said vacation days. KENTUCKY: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to award one vacation day to each one of the 2018 Employee Christmas Luncheon Charity Food Collection winners. This Municipal Order will be retroactive, to allow for the vacation days to be utilized as of December 14, 2018. SECTION 2. City of Paducah employees being awarded a vacation day, as authorized in Section 1 above, are as follows: 1. Adam Butterbough (Parks) 2. Sheryl Chino (Planning) 3. Joe Hayes (PD) 4. Wayne Downing (EPW) 5. Billy Collins (EPW) 6. Claudia Meeks (Gen Gov) 7. Corie Cole (Finance) 8. Eric Hickman (EPW) 9. Emma Shaw (Gen Gov) 10. Jemekka Stray (HR) SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
