A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR
TO MAKE PAYMENT TO CONCORD FIRE DISTRICT IN AN AMOUNT OF
$28,943.94 FOR THE PROPORTIONATE SHARE OF INDEBTEDNESS AS
REQUIRED BY LAW FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY WITHIN THE
CONCORD FIRE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, by Ordinance Number 2018-10-8553,
adopted on October 23, 2018, authorized the final annexation of certain property lying
adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Paducah and containing approximately
69.83 acres of property located between Harris Road and Highway 998 (Olivet Church
Road); and
WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised Statute (KRS) 75.020, mandates that cities
which annex property that resides within a fire protection district, pay a proportionate
share of the indebtedness incurred while such territory was part of said district; and
WHEREAS, the proportionate share of indebtedness for the Concord Fire
District territory that was annexed on October 23, 2018, has been calculated to be
$28,943.94.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes and directs the
Finance Director to pay Concord Fire District an amount of $28,943.94 for the
proportionate share of indebtedness for the annexation of property.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the Property/Plant
Repair Account No. 10000106533050.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption.
