HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO #2187MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 2187 A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH HUFFMAN CONSTRUCTION, LLC, FOR A CONTRACT REDUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000 FOR THE FLOODWALL PUMP STATION #2 REHABILITATION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CHANGE ORDER WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2018-4-8523 on April 10, 2018, to enter into a contract with Huffman Construction, LLC, in the amount of $4,947,000 for the Floodwall Pump Station #2 Rehabilitation Project; and WHEREAS, a change in removal techniques implemented for pumps 4,5, and 6, has resulted in a decrease to the total price of the contract; and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah now desires to approve Change Order No. 1 to decrease the contract with Huffman Construction, LLC, by $25,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The City hereby approves Change Order No. 1 with Huffman Construction, LLC, for a price decrease in the amount of $25,000 for the City of Paducah's Floodwall Pump Station Rehabilitation Project, henceforth reducing the total contract amount to $4,922,000. SECTION 2. The City hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute Change Order No. 1, as authorized in Section 1 above. SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
