Home My WebLink About2007-2-7255PI3'A ORDINANCE NO. 2007-2-7255 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT WITH MCCRACKEN COUNTY FOR THE OLIVET CHURCH ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the City adopted Ordinance No. 2005-12-7052 which approved the City to enter into an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the County, effective February 13, 2006, which allows the City and County to jointly coordinate and provide certain public transportation infrastructure projects across the boundaries of the City and County; and WHEREAS, the City and County have agreed that the Olivet Church Road Improvement - Holt Road Extension Roadway Project (hereinafter referred to as "Roadway Project") is a priority transportation project for the community and traveling public; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, the Mayor and Judge appointed the City Engineer as the Project Administrator for the Roadway Project by Letter of Agreement dated September 11, 2006; and WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has agreed that the Roadway Project is a viable and necessary transportation project and has incorporated proposed funding for the Roadway Project in the Six -Year Highway Plan; and WHEREAS, the City and County have agreed to equally share all expenses that may exceed the funding acquired for the Roadway Project. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement between McCracken County and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to equally share all costs exceeding acquired funding sources for the Olivet Church Road Improvement Project. SECTION 2. Funds will be expended from Project Account ST0027. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: "a"S Tammara S.
