HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 2094MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 2094 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT APPLICATION THROUGH THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY (KOHS) FOR FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $105,000, FOR BOMB SUITS FOR THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT BOMB SQUAD AND TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS WHICH ARE DEEMED NECESSARY BY KOHS TO FACILITATE AND ADMINISTER THE PROJECT AND TO ACT AS THE AUTHORIZED CORRESPONDENT FOR THIS PROJECT. THIS MUNICIPAL ORDER ALSO ESTABLISHES PROCUREMENT POLICY FOR ANY KOHS APPROVED PROJECT FOR THE FY2018 APPLICATION CYCLE WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky desires to make an application for United States Department of Homeland Security and/or Commonwealth of Kentucky funds for a project to be administered by Kentucky Office of Homeland Security; and WHEREAS, it is recognized that an application for and approval of Kentucky Office of Homeland Security funds impose certain obligations and responsibilities upon the city. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and furnish all required documentation and to act as the authorized correspondent for a 2018 grant application through the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security in the amount of $105,000, to be used for the purchase of 3 bomb suits for the Paducah Police Department Bomb Squad. No local cash or in- kind match is required. SECTION 2. For the purpose of any KOHS funded projects using FY2018 funds, the city will use the provisions of KRS 45A for the purchase of equipment and/or services. For any equipment and/or services under $20,000, three (3) quotes will be obtained. For any equipment and/or services that exceed $20,000 the provisions of KRS 45A will apply. SECTION 3. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption. ATTEST: Tammara S.
