A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
APPLICATION FOR A FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY GRANT THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
AGENCY IN THE AMOUNT OF $80,000, FOR FUNDING TO BE USED FOR THE HIRING
OF A DEPUTY FIRE MARSHAL AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND TRAINING
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a grant application to
obtain a Fire Prevention and Safety Grant through the Department of Homeland Security, Federal
Emergency Management Agency in the amount of $80,000, for funding to hire a Deputy Fire
Marshal and for educational materials and training. Local cash match will be in the amount of
$8,000 and will be provided through the Fire Department's FY2012-2013 budget.
SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
