ROLL CALL
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners
held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall at 4:30 p.m.,
Monday, March 16, 1992, Mayor Montgomery presided, and upon
call of the roll by the City Clerk, the following answered to
their names: Commissioners Feezor, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery
(3). Commissioners Grumley and Hornsby were absent (2).
NOTICES OF CALLED MEETING
Commissioner Feezor offered motion, seconded by
Commissioner Taylor, that the executed copies of the Notice of
Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 p.m., Monday, March 16, 1992,
be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas,
Commissioners Feezor, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery (3).
WORKSHOP
Items Discussed:
1. Request by Quilt Museum for four additional
parking spaces on North 3rd Street between
Jefferson Street & their entrance. State will
do the painting. Board approved request.
2. Request by PATS for increase in in-kind funding
for items provided by the City such as rent,
etc., for state funding purposes. Board
approved request.
3. Landfill expenditures discussed by Roger
Colburn. David Harvell & Don Bennett also
present. Ordinance will be prepared for next
Commission Meeting to pay for landfill seeding.
4. Inquiry by State of possibility of placing a
sign where they recently removed the old "Well"
sign. Board declined their offer.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Commissioner Taylor offered motion, seconded by
Commissioner Feezor, that the Board of Commissioners go into
Executive Session to discuss collective bargaining
negotiations. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners
Feezor, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery (3).
At the conclusion of the Executive Session the Board
reconvened in Open Session, whereupon the Mayor announced there
was no further business.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
