A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
MAIN STREET, PUBLICLY KNOWN AS THE PADUCAH RENAISSANCE ALLIANCE, IN
PARTNERSHIP WITH PADUCAH FILM SOCIETY FOR AN OUR TOWN MATCHING
GRANT FUNDED BY THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS FOR $150,000,
FOR PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY STUDY AND CONCEPT DESIGNS FOR THE
COLUMBIA THEATRE
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby approves an application and all
documents necessary for the Department of Main Street, publicly known as the Paducah
Renaissance Alliance, in partnership with Paducah Film Society for an Our Town matching
grant. The request is in the amount of $150,000, and will be funded by the National Endowment
for the Arts. This grant is for preparation of a feasibility study and concept designs for the
Columbia Theatre.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the application and all
documents necessary for an Our Town matching grant approved in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. If approved, the Our Town matching grant requires a nonfederal
match of at least 1 to 1. Matching funds may be cash or combination of cash and in-kind
contributions. Fundraising efforts will be provided by Paducah Main Street, Inc. for private
donations and in-kind donations for the City's portion of the match.
SECTION 4. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
