Rick,
Attached is a picture and complaint from the Mayor's office. I would like it added to the agenda for the upcoming traffic

I've had maybe two telephone calls regarding this subject.
Pulling from my memory the width of Label is 40' to 42' such that ufith 1(0I01 4 ?' +n either side is possible. However,
since the Coke plant relocated no one has parked there for years, hence, motorist have become more accustom to more
room and higher turning speeds to and from Jefferson Street.
Nevertheless, I too have also received similar telephone calls from citizens where they recited the additional parking
along Label created more of an inconvenience to there daily commute. Upon receiving this information I explained to
the citizen that City government did not wish to be "Too Heavy Handed" and install "No Parking Signs" too soon as we
are fortunate to have two to three "New Business" locate in a recently restored building. I also explained to them we
would monitor the situation and respond accordingly.
Given that PD and my office have received similar telephone calls, addressing this concern in my opinion would be via
"Traffic Commission" meeting.
If no one objects, I'll have Amy Nuckolls of my office schedule a Traffic Commission Meeting as soon as we all may be
available.

Just a few minutes ago, I received a call from a concerned citizen in reference to the
o:li I A 1 ox his is the 4th such complaint that I am
aware of the PD receiving. I believe both of you are aware that with the successful businesses of the Dry
Ground Brewery and Pipers coffee shop, the volume of patrons continue to increase. I am also told that
new businesses continue to be sought to fill vacant space within this facility which will compound the
problem in the near future.

Are either of you aware of any plans /conversations to address the congestion issue? The PD is willing to
be a part of those conversations should the need arise. Any information you can provide would be
appreciated.
