A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
GRANT APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
AGENCY, FOR A MATCHING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $130,000 FOR THE
PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY GENERATORS FOR THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a grant application and
all documents necessary through the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency
Management Agency, for a matching grant in the amount of $130,000 for the Paducah Fire
Department to purchase permanent emergency generators for Fire Stations #4 and #5. A local
cash match of 10%, in the amount of $13,000, is required and will be provided through the
Commission's Contingency Fund.
SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
