MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1884
A MUNICIPAL ORDER REPEALING MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1805
ENTITLED, "A MUNICIPAL ORDER ACCEPTING THE BID OF THOMAS
HUMPHREY IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF REAL
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1020 LINCOLN AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED FOR SAME"
WHEREAS, the City adopted Municipal Order No. 1805 on December 9,
2014, authorizing the sale of 1020 Lincoln Avenue to Mr. Thomas Humphrey; and
WHEREAS, upon deed preparation it was that revealed that the City only
owned the north half of the lot; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Humphrey was prepared to pay the offered price of
$1000 should the city be successful in acquiring the south half of the lot; and
WHEREAS, the City foreclosed on the south half, but was unsuccessful in
purchasing the lot at the Commissioner Sale in January 2016; and
WHEREAS, Staff advised Mr. Humphrey that the City had no alternative
but to re -bid the property; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to repeal Municipal Order No. 1805.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby repeals Municipal Order
No. 1805 entitled, "A MUNICIPAL ORDER ACCEPTING THE BID OF THOMAS
HUMPHREY IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF REAL
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1020 LINCOLN AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE
-- MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED FOR SAME."
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its adoption.
