A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
2015-2016 ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS MATCHING GRANT APPLICATION AND
ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND
SECURITY, FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$86,580.00, TO BE USED FOR THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a 2015-2016 Assistance
to Firefighters Matching Grant Application and all documents necessary through the Department
of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, in the amount of $86,580.00, to
be the host site for the train -the trainer training for Fire Ground Survival training, for purchase of
training materials and props for a mobile trailer. Funding will also help provide training for 20
career firefighters as well as cover overtime cost. The City's cash match of 10%, $9,620, come
from the Fire Department's FY2016 general fund budget.
SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
