A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
KENTUCKY RECYCLING GRANT APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY THROUGH THE KENTUCKY DIVISION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT FOR
FUNDING TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR THE VOLUNTEER -OPERATED
RECYCLING DROP OFF CENTER
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a joint application with
the McCracken County Fiscal Court in partnership with the Jackson Purchase Resource
Conservation and Development Foundation, Greater Paducah Sustainability, and Recycle Now
for a Kentucky Recycling Grant through the Kentucky Division of Waste Management in the
amount of $69,720, to purchase equipment for the volunteer -operated recycling drop off center.
SECTION 2. The City of Paducah and McCracken County Fiscal Court hereby
agree that the McCracken County Fiscal Court shall act as the lead government agency in
meeting all grant requirements, including a local cash match of $7,725, each and an in-kind
donation of facility use of $7,790 from Paducah Water Works for a total match of $23,240.
SECTION 3. Funding for the local cash match will be subject to approval of
appropriation in the Engineering/Public Works FY2012 budget.
SECTION 4. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
