A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN A REIMBURSABLE
2011 VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT PROGRAM GRANT IN AN AMOUNT UP TO
$60,000.00 FROM THE KENTUCKY JUSTICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY CABINET FOR THE
PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT TO DEVELOP AND STRENGTHEN LAW
ENFORCEMENT, PROSECUTION, AND SERVICES IN CASES INVOLVING DOMESTIC
ABUSE
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an application and all
documents necessary to obtain a reimbursable 2011 Violence Against Women Act Program
Grant in an amount up to $60,000.00 from the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet for
the Paducah Police Department to develop and strengthen law enforcement, prosecution, and
services in cases involving domestic abuse. This program will reimburse 100% of approved
personnel and staff development training and does not require any local cash or in-kind match.
SECTION 2. This order will be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
